last minute crafts.

So here it is...midnight & I am still up making Adyson's Thanksgiving shirt.Man I am such a procrastinator! Well at least her tutu is made.hehe I have a cream colored shirt that I bought at target I went to HL & bought iron on letters & glitter & I have spelled out "Mommy's little turkey".The glitter didn't work to well so I opted to paint them [they were white originally] a burnt orangeish color.Right now they are drying.Hopefully the will be finished soon so I can iron them on & see how it is going to turn out.I will post pictures & show you the final product.
Wish me luck!!

Gobble till you Wobble!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I am so ready for tomorrows festivities! I cannot wait for the turkey & sweet potatoes & green beans & dressing..oh I could go on & on!! Yum Yum!!I have been cooking & baking the better part of this afternoon.Which was no easy feat with two kids underfoot.I just dont see how some of these women do it with 2 or more kids.I really do want another but I often wonder how I would handle it.Oh I am rambling.Back to Turkey Day.I made a homemade peach cobbler.From scratch people!! [woot woot!!] I also made pink stuff aka fruit salad & a broccoli,cheese & rice casseroll.I really wanted to make my Granny Doris's Hershey Bar cake but I didnt.*snif *snif.Luckily I didnt have to include cleaning in my plans.Thank goodness.We are having lunch at my Grandys house around 12ish & then dinner at my in-laws around 5:30.One day we will have it at our house.Ok well the cobbler is beeping so I will leave you with a picture of Tyler @ her Thanksgiving program.She was a turkey.

This is the turkey song that she sang.

"I'm a turkey big & fat I spread my tail I walk like that.
Each days corn I will not miss & when I talk I sound like this.
GOBBLE! GOBBLE! GOBBLE!"

How stinkin'cute is that?

wordful wednesday-tyler marie.

Of course you all know Tyler.My beautiful crazy "orange headed" step daughter.We had a very amusing conversation tonight while I was making dinner.We started off by talking about how silly daddy is,then she went on to tell me that all boys are crazy & they always think they are the boss.She also said they always try & make you go get things for them..aka being lazy.She then asked me "why are you always cooking?" I told her that it was my job as a housewife.Her response "Wife? Eww that word freaks me out!" haha I think we have a little feminist on our hands.If i didnt know any better I would swear that she is my daughter.She is 5 going on 25.I dont know what we are gonna do with her when she becomes a teenager.We are in for a world of trouble.I am just glad to know that I have a part in her being such a independent person.I have so many other things to teach her. ;]

So I went thrifting with the bestie today.It was alot of fun.
We started out sorta of late but I still managed to find some neat stuff.

These little guys are salt & pepper shakers but they are going to look awesome in Adyson's room.I am of course going to paint & distress them.Not really sure what color I want them to be yet.I am going for a woodland type theme in her room.Something like the Brooke collection @ Pottery Barn Kids.

:::stocking hangers:::

I love these stocking hangers I found today.I have
been really wanting some but I didnt want to spend a outrageous amount on them.I got these for $6.I am going to jazz them up with lots & lots of glitter.Maybe in a light blue or a white.ohh or a really pretty green color.

:::compact mirror:::

So I really love this mirror.It is so classic & beautiful.[It still has the sticky stuff from the price sticker on it.] I havent decided if I want to keep it for myself or have it ingraved & give it someone as a christmas present.I bought this for a whooping $2! I might just keep it for myself =]

wordful wednesday-adyson.

:::wordful wednesday #2:::

I just love this picture of my daughter.This was taken in july;she was 10 months old.Mommy made the mistake of leaving her coke sitting beside the TV while she ran to throw something away.Adyson being the big girl that she thinks she is walked right over to the TV stand grabbed my coke & headed into the kitchen to drink it.I am just so happy that she did not drop it on the carpet.I turned around & caught her in the act.I just had to have a picture of it.She is a petie child & she makes the coke can look huge!

Its Monday.......

Well its Monday again. Yay! ha I have a very easy week this week.No plans.All the time in the world.What should I do? I think I am going to start on my Christmas crafts & decorations. I love Christmas. I am going all out this year! I cannot wait.Pictures will be posted of my crafts/decorations.So get ready!

Look @ what i made last night.It didn't really come out that great & the paper has wrinkles in it but I think it adds character.

::Our monogrammed plate::
up close.see the wrinkles?

How many hours of TV do you watch per week? Do you feel that's too much, not enough or just right? I watch maybe 10 hours a week.I'm not really big into watching TV.I would rather read a book or do crafts.

Which of the 5 senses do you feel is your strongest sense? Either sight or touch.I am a very intuitive person.

What's the wackiest belief you held as a child? Oh wow i cant really remember my childhood all that well.

Yea I am a SAHM..So what?!?

So I am going to do a little ranting on here.I am so tired of people degrading what I do.Yes I am a SAHM so what? I just don't understand how some people don't see that as a job? No I don't get a paycheck that consists of money but I do get the satisfaction of watching my daughter grow up & learn.That is my paycheck.Knowing that I have no one but myself to give credit too.Me being a stay at home mom is no ones business but mine & my husbands.Dont get mad or say stupid comments bc we are able to afford it & you are not.Thats not my problem.I am a very grounded person & I am so blessed that I am able to stay home with my daughter.That is a luxury that some people cannot afford but I have gotten to the point where I am tired of the comments & stupidity of some people.I do not get a break from my "job".It is a 24/7 never ending circus that I love doing.Ugh I am just so disgusted right now that it is unbelievable.These people just need to get a life & stop worrying about mine!

::Happy Halloween::
